ZygoFix
ZygoFix is transforming back pain treatments with its anatomy conforming 3D-printed implant technology; zLOCK is FDA-cleared, CE certified and commercially available in the US
Problem & solution
Facet arthritis drives chronic low back pain in millions, yet care today offers only temporary relief — RF ablation and injections that wear off and require repeat procedures, with no structural fix for the degenerating joint itself. zLOCK is a minimally invasive, anatomy-conforming titanium implant that structurally stabilizes the arthritic facet joint — offering interventional pain physicians a durable alternative to repeat RFA/injections, creating a new treatment category beyond spine fusion.
Primary customers & users
The users of the zLOCK system are spine surgeons and interventional pain physicians and the health care organizations providing spine care treatments.
Differentiation
zLOCK's conforming 3D printing architecure is the only off-the-shelf implant in the market capable of adjusting its shape to provide patient specific fit. Its unique design enables to overload the varying facet anatomy with minimal drilling and bone rimming while providing the greatest contact surface area and robust stabilization.
Current traction
The zLOCK systems is currently marketed under a limited launch to 5 US spine surgeons from leading university hospitals (Penn State and UIC) and private ASCs in a wide variety of indications. 50 procedures have been performed in the US to date and over 110 worldwide showing great long term pain reduction and facet fusion. The system is CE certified and FDA cleared.
