TAG Dream Medical
TAG Dream Medical builds MIST, a system that automatically slices and extracts large organs inside a sealed bag for surgeons doing laparoscopic surgery
Problem & solution
Removing large organs laparoscopically takes 30–90 minutes and relies on slow, fatiguing manual or power morcellation with separate tools, risking tissue spread if the bag is breached. MIST is the first system that safely slices the specimen itself — fully automated, inside a sealed bag — cutting a large organ into one continuous ribbon in under 3 minutes for smooth extraction through a 15mm incision, with 100% bag integrity.
Primary customers & users
MIST will purchased by hospitals and ACS
Differentiation
Every other containment bag is a passive holder — the surgeon still cuts with a separate tools. MIST is the first system that slices the specimen itself: fully automated, inside the sealed bag, turning a large organ into one continuous ribbon in under 3 minutes. No other device combines this speed with guaranteed containment.
