Healthcare systems strive to cut costs while maintaining or improving care standards. Care variability—clinicians following personal practice over recommended best practices—drives a $100B problem. Quai uses an EHR-integrated AI agent to convert patient data into real-time recommended workflows based on hospital best practices. This accelerates care, lowers costs, and improves documentation for better billing.
Primary customers & users
Healthcare systems (e.g. Mayo Clinic) buy the solution, driven by the ER Director, supported by the CMO/CMIO, to be used by the clinicians
Differentiation
It's a first of its kind fully integrated end-to-end that translates (patient) data and (medical) knowledge into action (test orders and documentation) in real time. It turns the EHR from a reactive data repository into a proactive clinical co-pilot. partial solutions exist, but none as comprehensive and as integrated as ours.
Current traction
Was designed and incepted at the Medical University of South Carolina, now in an advanced pilot at the Mayo Clinic, expecting to expand into the Mayo network early next year and start proliferation to other healthcare systems (next in line are Lahey Clinic and MGB). Application is FDA exempt, fully integrated into Epic (Vendor Services approved). Have some initial revenue - expect major growth next year.
